NYRA has taken several steps to improve the process for obtaining horsemen credentials for the 2019 Summer Meet at Saratoga Race Course.

Please be reminded that you must obtain a New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC) license prior to receiving your NYRA badge. 

NYSGC License

  • The NYSGC office (licensing) located in the Cottage between Guest Services and the Dunkin Donuts concession stand opens on Wednesday, July 10.
  • Hours are 8am to 4pm, Wednesday through Sunday.
  • Anyone requiring a NYSGC license prior to Sunday, July 7 can go to either Belmont Park or the NYS office in Schenectady (address below).

NYRA Credentialing

Renewals:

  • If you previously had NYRA Horsemen's credentials, please contact Lew Kobel in the Horsemen's Credentials Office ([email protected] or (718) 659-2374) before July 1. He will make every effort to mail your credentials to you.

New Applications:

  • Until Friday, June 28, you can obtain your NYRA badge (renewals and new applicants) in the Security Office located on Union Avenue at Gate 15 on the "Oklahoma" side.
  • The main NYRA Identification Office is located on the mezzanine level of the grandstand by Gate 3 and will open on Friday, June 28
  • The Horsemen’s Credentials Office, located beside the Racing Office opens on Tuesday, July 9.
  • Credentials for out-of-town trainers will be available in the Racing Office. Please contact Lew Kobel for further information.
