Christian Abdo Apr 23 2025

Thursday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $9,874 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Wednesday’s eight-race program.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $65.75 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Wednesday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 3 with a dominant win from On the Ledge [No. 4, $4.90] in a six-furlong claimer with Christopher Elliott aboard for trainer Bruce Brown.

Kendrick Carmouche was aboard the next winner with the Joe Sharp-conditioned Vehemente [No. 5, $4.40*] capturing a 6 1/2-furlong starter optional claimer, in Race 4. The next race saw Omar Hernandez Moreno navigate longshot Screaming Uncle [No. 4, $95] to victory in a seven-furlong claimer for trainer Chetram Bhigroog, in Race 5.

In Race 6, which kicked off grass racing on the NYRA-circuit for 2025, Manny Franco piloted Midway Memories [No. 2, $3.20*] to victory in a 1 1/16-mile outer turf maiden for trainer Chad Brown. In Race 7, a six-furlong allowance, What’s Up Bro [No. 1, $6.70*] secured Carmouche his third win of the day, this time for trainer Linda Rice.

With the carryover already guaranteed heading into the Race 8 finale, a 1 1/16-mile inner turf maiden claimer for New York-breds, the Jorge Abreu-trained Doomed [No. 12, $7*] closed to victory under Dylan Davis.

Thursday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 3 at approximately 2:16 p.m. Eastern. First post for the eight-race card is 1:10 p.m.
