Pick 6 carryover of $12K on Friday at Aqueduct Racetrack

Christian Abdo Feb 6 2025

Friday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $12,642 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s seven-race program.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $221.75 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Thursday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 2 with Sweet Brown Sugar [No. 1, $11] taking a 6 1/2-furlong optional claimer with Lane Luzzi aboard for trainer Paul Barrow.

Luzzi was back aboard the next winner with the Lisa Lugovich-conditioned Monetary Monarch [No. 6, $27] capturing a one-mile state-bred allowance, in Race 3. One race later, the favored Fade to Grey [No. 3, $5.40*] took a nine-furlong optional claimer with Kendrick Carmouche up for Hall of Famer Todd Pletcher, in Race 4.

In Race 5, Carmouche doubled up aboard Yo Daddy [No. 3, $4.10] in a one-mile optional claimer for conditioner Linda Rice. In Race 6, a seven-furlong claimer, Commerce Comet [No. 5, $9.30] secured Luzzi his third riding victory of the day, this time for trainer Rick Dutrow, Jr.

With just 2-of-8 horses covered heading into the Race 7 finale, a one-mile maiden claimer, the Jena Antonucci-trained and Keiber Coa-piloted Taparino [No. 6, $14.60] closed to victory, triggering the carryover.

Friday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 3 at approximately 2:08 p.m. Eastern. First post for the eight-race card is 1:10 p.m.
