NYRA adds October 22 card to Belmont at the Big A fall meet schedule

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) today announced the addition of a day of live racing on Wednesday, October 22 as part of the Belmont at the Big A fall meet.

Following the cancellation of live racing on Sunday, October 12, due to a powerful coastal storm, NYRA, the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (NYTHA) and New York Thoroughbred Breeders, Inc. (NYTB) requested and have received formal approval from the New York State Gaming Commission to conduct live racing on October 22 at Belmont at the Big A.

Entries for the October 22 card will be taken on Thursday, October 16.

The Belmont at the Big A fall meet, which features 45 stakes worth $9.4 million in total purses, continues through Sunday, November 2.
