Thursday’s card at Belmont at the Big A will be bolstered by a Double Pick 6 carryover of $124,239 after the multi-race wager went unsolved for the second consecutive day on Sunday’s 10-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $1,258 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Sunday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 5 as Hazardous Humor [No. 3, $8] took a six-furlong claimer with Jose Lezcano aboard for trainer Wayne Potts.
Owner/trainer Lisa Lugovich sent out the next winner with the Lane Luzzi-piloted Gregorian Solo [No. 10, $30.40], who captured a 6 1/2-furlong maiden claimer for New York-breds in Race 6. One race later, the favored National Archive [No. 10, $4.20*] won a 1 1/16-mile state-bred turf maiden with Flavien Prat in the irons for conditioner Christophe Clement in Race 7.
In Race 8, a 6 1/2-furlong starter allowance, Shesalittle Edgy [No. 2, $24] drew off impressively with Ruben Silvera up for owner/trainer Rudy Rodriguez. In Race 9, a 1 1/16-mile state-bred turf allowance, the Kenny McPeek-conditioned Midnight Concerto [No. 5, $8.90] rallied to victory under Kendrick Carmouche.
With the carryover already guaranteed heading into the Race 10 finale, a six-furlong maiden sprint on the lawn for state-breds, the Lezcano-piloted and Jorge Abreu-conditioned Sinead [No. 1, $14.20] closed to victory.
Thursday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 3 at approximately 1:41 p.m. Eastern. First post for the eight-race card is 12:40 p.m.
