NYRA STAR Kids Day

A special Sunday dedicated to Saratoga's youngest fans! Kids 12 & under get free admission every day, including Kids Day.
Parents: Sign your children up for NYRA STAR, Saratoga's free kids program with perks the whole family can enjoy!
Horse Plush Giveaway
First 5,000 kids 12 & under get a free horse plush!
Tickets For AdultsAvailable in the Family Zone. Admission gates open at 11:00am.
STAR Sprint Kids Run
0.2-mile fun run through the backyard from the Big Red Spring to the Family Zone!
Registrations are now closed.
For NYRA STAR members only, age 5-12. All participants will receive a race T-shirt and medal. Check-in open from 9:00am-9:45am.
Kids Activities
- Giant bounce house, community mural and hat-making station in the Family Zone
- Puppet and interactive dance shows in the Family Zone
- Pony rides and petting zoo near the Big Red Spring
- Free Paddock & Winner's Circle tours offered every race by NYRA STAR
- Jazz-style kids band performing at the Purdy’s Summer Music Stage (11:00am - 2:00pm)
- Interactive programming from the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame near Fourstardave
- Complimentary horse-themed photo opportunities near Gate A
- Mock broadcast booth where children can call their own race
- Live book reading by acclaimed children’s author Maddy Zanetti of Jim Dandy: A Dark Horse, beginning at 2:00pm near the Family Zone. The first 100 NYRA STAR members to check in at the NYRA STAR booth will receive a complimentary copy of the book, while supplies last!
