The New York Racing Association, Inc (NYRA) is seeking to retain an Owners’ Representative to assist in various projects that NYRA is intending to contemplate at Saratoga Racecourse, Saratoga Springs NY, following the installation of Video Lottery Terminals at Aqueduct Racetrack, Ozone Park NY. This advertisement relates to Saratoga only and excludes the backstretch or barn areas. The scope of the retention and qualification is as follows: Assist NYRA to procure and appoint a professional team to develop detailed designs for the grandstand complex at the racecourse. Contribute to the development of the program for any new projects and provide cost estimating advice to inform the program. Assist NYRA in all aspects of the negotiation and all construction-related projects. Monitor all aspects of the performance of contractors and sub-contractors including change orders and requests for payment. Monitor all aspects of the project to ensure that all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations are adhered to at all times. Confirm and monitor that all required licences, insurances and permits are in place at all times for everyone working on the project. Perform any and all other relevant tasks that NYRA may reasonably request. Each candidate must set forth its experience in managing construction projects in the State of New York up to $100,000,000. Each candidate must set forth the manner in which it will staff the project, its fee structure and certify its ability to begin work immediately.
